Save email as grayscale PDF documents

Sometimes it can be useful to save email and attachments as grayscale PDF documents.

For instance, converting email and attachments to grayscale enables you to print a PDF on a monochrome printer or save colored ink when using a color printer. In such documents, all text and images lose their color information and take on corresponding shades of gray.

Saving the resultant file size is another benefit in having PDF in grayscale. That is, if a PDF file contains many color images and file size is essential but color isn’t, the conversion saves space. If a PDF will be printed in B/W then converting it allows you to visually check what the end result will look like.

To produce PDF documents in Grayscale from your emails and attachments in Outlook, with Email to PDF add-in, go to Output Settings > Others tab and check ‘Render PDF to Grayscale color’ option as highlighted in the screenshot below.
