Team Helpdesk being a group collaborative system, requires the Exchange Public folders or shared mailbox resource to work. If your Outlook is not connected to Exchange mailbox, the functionality and scope of the Team Helpdesk will be confined to that particular system where you had installed it. And if you have 2 or more technicians, they won’t be able to use Team Helpdesk collaboratively. Team Helpdesk works with Office 365 Exchange Online, the cloud based solution from Microsoft. So, you might want to subscribe to Office 365 cloud if cost is a concern.
